Responsibilities
- Assist a Project Manager in the production of project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Develop feasible design alternatives and compare significant parameters such as typical sections, horizontal and vertical alignments, right-of-way requirements and cost.
- Identify and analyze the principal design features and major design alternatives that satisfy the project’s purpose and need.
- Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Prepare written technical reports and engineering studies using approved company format.
- Direct production work of engineering technicians.
- Additional related duties as needed.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- 3-6 years of professional experience in site design.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.
- Experience with entitlements and permitting for local jurisdictions.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Georgia EI/EIT or ability to achieve by reciprocity
- Experience with Metro Atlanta jurisdictions, including entitlements and zoning along with permitting processes and procedures.
- GSWCC Level 2 Certification or ability to achieve within six months.
