Role Description:
This is an internship role for a Content Creator focused on Tik Tok content at Paper Planes LLC. The Content Creator will be responsible for creating engaging and creative content for Tik Tok on a daily basis. This is a hybrid role located in New York, NY.
Capture creative moments behind the camera that tell a compelling story. Edit video content for TikTok, Instagram, and other social media platforms to create engaging visuals that align with the company’s brand and goals. Collaborate with the Marketing Director to organize and execute video content and brand marketing strategies. Ensure high-quality video production through seamless synchronization of video footage with music, visual effects, and dialogue. Stay up to date on social media trends in order to create compelling narratives. Capable of organizing video storage and proficient in video editing software.
Tasks:
- Sequencing: organize and assemble raw footage into a cohesive and engaging narrative
- Video Editing: edit video content by adding music, dialogue, transitions, and sound effects that support the storytelling of the brand
- Content Management: maintain an organized library of video assets and assist in planning and executing content strategies
- Quality Control: review edited content to determine high-quality production, ensuring smooth pacing and alignment with the brand
- Collaboration: work closely with the Marketing Team to coordinate content strategies to increase audience engagement
- Must have an iPhone 15 or newer for high-quality content creation
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge: of how to use video editing software and social media platforms; of content trends and management
- Video Editing Software and Social Media Platforms–Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, After Effects, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, etc.
- Abilities: Strong Visual Eye–ability to create visuals that connect with viewers/consumers; Information Ordering–ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules; Detail Oriented–ability to spot inconsistencies or errors in video content
- Other: Originality–ability to create and execute original video production.
Time Management:
- Knowledge: of strategies for task tracking, prioritization, and delegation
- Organization–calendar management, goal setting, time blocking, task estimation; Communication Skills–stay updated with colleagues on individual progress, team progress, and delegation of tasks
Working Hours:
- Office hours are 10:00am - 6:00pm
- This position is hybrid. Most of the shoots will take place off-site.
- Editing can be done remotely.
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, and brand events.
- Hours are flexible to the student’s scheduling needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Working towards college diploma
- Strong interest in the fashion industry and content creation
- Previous experience working in a social media position or in video production
- Efficient in Capcut, Instagram, Tiktok, and other video editing platforms
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite
- Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and professional content
- Paper Planes will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Paper Planes now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.
This is an unpaid, for credit internship (proof that you will receive credit is required).
Because of the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, your assigned hours may vary to reflect our needs (includes nights and weekends).
