Summary
The Gluer Operator position supports the plants manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the position is to operate the gluer. The Gluer Operator starts the machine when all sections are set up and all team members are aware of intention to start. Upon startup of gluer, the Gluer Operator will check cartons for proper folding of creases, caliper and bond as well as check for marks or other defects. The Gluer Operator continuously checks the cartons for defects – cracking, gluing, printing and caliper, etc. If defects are found, the Gluer Operator will stop the machine, if necessary, and make corrective adjustments.
