What are the responsibilities and job description for the Offset Aerator position at PaperWorks?
Overview
- Assist Printing and Sheeting operators in maintaining optimum quality and efficient production output.
Responsibilities
- Aerate all jobs, initial bottom of all aerated loads.
- Arrange next load or job ready to go into press.
- All rework tags must be in correct spots and on side guide side of load along with hand truck under load.
- Remove all scrap stock (baskets, etc.) from presses as need be. Baskets must be dumped in baler.
- Tag and insert “Don’t Mix” at the end of production run/job when aerated.
- Continue loading jobs that need to have rework, repile when ever necessary to stay ahead.
- Aerate all loads as they are removed from sheeter
- Stage load in staging area by job number
- Notify supervisor and/or pressmen of defects when detected
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must possess a positive attitude.
