About the Position
The Executive Vice President Operations will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and overseeing operations activities in the organization, ensuring efficient and effective management. They will develop and implement efficient operations and cost-effective processes to meet current and future needs.
The EVP Operations will supervise departmental managers, conduct performance evaluations, manage discipline and termination, integrate new business units or resources through strategic growth plans, establish, implement, and communicate the strategic direction of the organization's operations division, and collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals.
- Supervises departmental managers to ensure effective management and coordination.
- Conducts performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement and development.
- Manages discipline and termination in accordance with company policy.
- Integrates new business units or resources through strategic growth plans.
Qualifications
We are seeking a qualified candidate with experience in managing heavy civil construction, aggregate and asphalt manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in the industry, strong supervisory and leadership skills, analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or another industry-related field is required, and an MBA is preferred. At least 10 years of industry-related experience including three years in upper management is also required.
