Classified Kitchen Manager - La Vista Middle School
Full-Time- 8 hours per day / 6 : 30 AM - 3 : 00 PM / Monday - Friday /
General Description : Ensures the efficient operation of a secondary kitchen in order to produce attractive and nutritious meals for students and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Certification : Current Certification by the School Nutrition Association preferred
Experience : Three year's work experience in an institutional or school kitchen with progressive responsibility and supervisory experience. Approved educational course work in food service supervision or related field may be substituted for work experience on a year-for-year basis. General computer experience.
Other Requirements : Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, employees, students, school staff and the general public. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to effectively supervise employees. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to operate a computer, cashier terminal, PIN pad, and calculator. Working knowledge of the sanitation, safety and meal requirements of the Nebraska Department of Agriculture, United States Department of Agriculture and Food Distribution Program. Ability to maintain detailed records as required by regulatory agencies.
