Job Summary
Papio's Food & Spirits is a family-owned upscale casual restaurant looking for dependable, outgoing, talented servers, dishwashers, and line cooks to expand our team of amazing people! We have spent months renovating the restaurant and fine-tuning our restaurant to offer our guests the most efficient, unique experience with an incredible staff to make the most of what we have to offer!

Job Expectations

• As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for washing and unloading dishes, pots, pans, silverware, china, utensils, and equipment.

Required Experience

• Prior restaurant or dishwashing experience is preferred, but not required.
• Must be friendly, display a positive attitude, and have good teamwork skills.
• Good communication skills are required

Primary Responsibilities

• Use proper procedures for cleaning and storing items - comply with all applicable state and local health/safety codes.
• Perform daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• May be required to scrub and mop floors, clean and sanitize equipment and work areas.
• Consistently maintain a positive attitude, supporting a team environment with other Dishwashers and the kitchen team.

General Working Conditions

This position can entail standing for long durations of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.

Ideal Traits:

• Previous experience preferred
• Strong understanding of food safety practices & proper food handling techniques
• Excellent communication skills & personality with a priority for positive guest & team experiences
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, high volume restaurant environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed (Closed every Monday)
• A desire to find a team environment excited to grow in the future

Pay: $12.50 - $14.00 per hour
