Junior Facilities Kitchen Designer
We are seeking a detail oriented and collaborative Jr Kitchen Designer to join the Design Group at the Pappas Restaurants Main Office in Northwest Houston. The Jr. Facilities Kitchen Designer will assist the Senior Kitchen Designer in evaluating and implementing any necessary changes to equipment, layout, infrastructure, and fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities
- Work alongside Senior Kitchen Designer and assist as directed.
- Field verify existing conditions to gather necessary information.
- Generate shop drawings for fabrication team.
- Create work orders for internal teams to repair and/or replace equipment including any associated scope.
Requirements:
- Positive and professional attitude
- Knowledge of food service design and kitchen equipment industry
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills to meet time sensitive deadlines
- Outstanding written and verbal communication
- Analytical and excel at problem solving
- Detail oriented
- 2 years of design-related experience in food service
- 5 years of Auto CAD experience (2010 or newer)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Ability to travel in and out of state
- A valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record
