QA Analyst
As the Quality Assurance Analyst, you will develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for restaurant-facing systems within ITG. You will gather and analyze data to support business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements. This will include writing test plans and scripts to track defects and fixes in the point-of-sale system. You will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to validate IT processes through thorough testing, ensuring maximum benefit from business investments in IT initiatives.
Your responsibilities as the QA Analystr will include:
- Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for all restaurant facing applications (e.g., POS, Recipe Viewer, iPad applications, Etc.).
- Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in the new POS system.
- Create and execute test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications.
- Verify and revise quality assurance standards as needed.
- Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues. Authorized to approve or deny release of a software build contingent upon test results.
- Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing, such as system, unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing methods.
- Make recommendations for improvement of applications to programmers and software developers or engineers.
- Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
- Test any new software to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications.
- Analyze formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
- Assist in the development of change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies.
- Participate in developing, distributing, and coordinating in-depth end-user reviews for modified and new systems or applications.
- Maintain Version Control database to ensure consistency of software across all deployments.
- Maintain bug tracking & feature request database.
- Facilitate status meetings with the POS vendor.
- Provide 2nd level application support.
- Provide 1st level help desk support.
- Provide after-hours on-call support to the restaurants.
As our Quality Assurance Analyst, you should have:
- Some college or equivalent work experience
- Two years’ experience in a technical support role
- Working knowledge of: Restaurant operations, computer hardware, Point-of-sale systems
- Technical writing skills
- Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work with noise distractions and interruptions
