What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer I position at Pappas Restaurants Inc.?
The Software Developer works with an in-house team of professionals to design, code, and maintain software systems to meet the needs of Pappas Restaurants. This includes participation in the entire software development life cycle (SDLC), as a full-stack developer. Experience with C#, Python, SQL Server, Postgres, Windows, and Ubuntu are desired, as is familiarity with web services and API coding.
Responsibilities
• Software and database design, analysis, programming, and testing
• Third Level support
• Documentation, such as maintenance and development
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS or CS or equivalent work experience.
• Strong background in software development.
• Knowledge of an object-oriented language, such as C#, C , or Java.
• Knowledge of database design and development using SGL Server, Postgres, or Oracle.
• Skilled at quickly learning new technologies and tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed to communicate effectively with individuals at the restaurants and main office.
• Ability to explain and clarify technical issues for non-technical users.
• Ability to work independently as part of a team.
• Must be able to work under pressure and prioritize conflicting tasks to complete them in the most effective way.
