What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Career Controls Engineer position at PaR Systems?
We are looking for a Controls Engineer to join our Critical Handling Solutions (CHS) business segment. This team specializes in designing and building a variety of high performance, high reliability custom crane and lifting equipment. We serve several diverse industries including aerospace, nuclear test laboratories, commercial nuclear plants, and various other industries that have a need for the most advanced lifting systems that are possible. Be a part of designing the machines that lift anything from F35 fighter jets to nuclear reactors, to rocket ships!
Success Criteria
As a continuous learner, you'll be tasked with getting up-to-speed on our existing projects and work closely with various team members to build creative technical solutions to take on complex engineering problems. This role requires the application of theoretical principles and creative / analytical techniques typically acquired in a recognized four-year or more academic course of study. Applying what you learned in school with the collaborative power of our team will also give you learning and development opportunities on the job.
Some of key responsibilities of the role include :
- Perform control system design, including control cabinet layout, schematic generation, and assembly diagrams using CAD software.
- Develop electrical design skills by applying knowledge of electrical theory.
- Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) selection and configuration.
- PLC and HMI programming.
- Being a committed team member during all phases of development including onsite integration.

We offer market competitive pay and benefits based upon the candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Our starting rate of pay for this salaried position is targeted at $72,000-76,000 annually.
