The Associate Counsel will play a key role in negotiating technology agreements, ensuring compliance with data privacy laws, and supporting cross-functional teams.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- JD degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5 years of experience in a law firm and in-house legal role, with a focus on data privacy, security, and commercial contracts.
- Knowledge of data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and experience advising on privacy compliance matters.
- Strong contract negotiation, drafting, and risk assessment skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Experience supporting technology, SaaS, or retail industries is a plus but not required.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, software licenses, professional services agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Support data privacy and security compliance programs, including maintaining and updating internal policies and procedures.
- Advise internal teams—including product, engineering, sales, and human resources—on compliance with data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA).
- Conduct legal research and risk assessments related to data protection, cybersecurity, and technology transactions.
- Collaborate with business teams to develop practical legal solutions that support the company’s strategic objectives.
- Stay updated on emerging regulations in data privacy, security, and technology transactions.
