Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Support Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will focus on observing and documenting project progress, ensuring compliance with construction documents, and coordinating inspections and material deliveries. This role does not involve direct safety oversight or financial management but collaborates closely with contractors and project stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
Duties
- Perform daily site walks to document progress.
- Track subcontractor activities, material deliveries, and visitor logs.
- Take detailed photographs highlighting work quality, progress, and any concerns.
- Record weather conditions and their impact on construction.
- Attend weekly subcontractor, safety, and OAC meetings.
- Participate in pre-installation and virtual meetings as needed.
- Coordinate and attend material deliveries, ensuring quality and compliance with approved submittals.
- Document and address any variances.
- Schedule and attend inspections with FP&C and consultants.
- Monitor Construction Materials Testing (CMT) activities and document results.
- Be present 30 minutes prior to concrete pours or power shutdowns to confirm readiness
- Monitor RFIs (Requests for Information) and gain a general understanding of issues.
- Verify contractor’s daily logs (CDLs).
- Track submittals and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Confirm progress and material verification as needed for Statements of Value (SOV).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related with 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
Experience
- Equivalent industry experience will be considered.
- Familiarity with construction management software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention detail.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
- Ability to document project activities throughly accurately.
