Job Description:
Parabilis Space Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer for Propulsion System Manufacturing to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing state-of-the-art space propulsion systems. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the effort to set up and operate a facility for AI&T of Parabilis propulsion systems.
- Oversight of technician support staff and collaboration with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of components and systems.
- Collaboration with design engineers to improve designs and provide feedback on manufacturability.
- Daily oversight of assembly, integration, and environmental testing activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Development of detailed work instructions, process flow diagrams, and test procedures for manufacturing operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within the aerospace industry, with expertise in assembly, integration, and acceptance/qualification testing of space systems.
- Familiarity with writing clear processes/procedures and identifying deviations.
- Relevant experience with fluid systems, including tube bending and routing, component selection, P&IDs, and PHAs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome challenges.
