Job Description
As a brand ambassador to Paraco Gas, our Technicians service LP propane gas appliances, in addition to, delivering, installing, and removing propane tanks at residential, commercial and industrial customers. Service Technicians are dispatched to customers within our service area located in, but not limited to Putnam, Westchester, Dutchess, and Fairfield Counties while reporting into our Brewster, NY location.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to) :
Installation, repair, and service of LP Propane appliances, tanks and equipment, primarily in an outdoors setting.
Ability to properly diagnose, troubleshoot and repair systems.
Ability to conduct leak checks, identify and repair gas leaks at site locations.
Perform routine service, cleaning and maintenance of LP Gas appliances.
Respond to customer requests relating to insufficient or lack of heat on daily and emergency basis.
Perform duties in compliance within municipal guidelines.
Ensure service vehicle is maintained clean and free of debris and ability conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections.

Calendar and scheduling software – Microsoft Outlook
Electronic mail software - Microsoft Exchange; Microsoft Outlook
Network security and virtual private network VPN equipment software – CISCO Any Connect
Video conferencing software – Microsoft Teams, Zoom
Knowledge :
Customer and Personal Service – Ability to provide quality customer service by displaying knowledge of equipment and services and serving as brand ambassador.
Skills :
Minimum of 1 year of service technician experience in the trades (HVAC experience is preferred but not require.)
Exceptional customer service skills.
Have a strong understanding and comprehension of all products promoted and associated with company.
Maintain a professional approach including proper dress, grooming, and overall appearance guidelines as outlined by the company
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to multi-task and work independently as well as contribute to the overall success of the team
Equipment :
Company provided cell phone, tools, and take home service vehicle-at no cost to employee.
Work Activities :
Ability to lift over 50 lbs, stand and maintain active for long periods of time without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to provide “on-call” support for emergency calls in accordance to the Company’s rotating on-call schedule.
Ability to travel onsite to various locations throughout the Northeast throughout various seasons and weather conditions.
Work in both an indoor and outdoor setting
Credentials :
Valid Commercial Driver’s License with HazMat endorsement preferred with satisfactory driving record.
CT G2 or G1 License preferred (not required). Paraco will support additional training to pursue license if needed.
