Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in Michigan to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients on a virtual/telehealth basis with a possible need for in-office visits occasionally. Your expertise will help in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health status and medical history.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
- Offer and execute additional psychotherapy at medication management appointments as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Use responsible prescribing practices in line with DEA and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide Exceptional care with documentation that reflects care provided.
- Stay up to date with evidence based practice for psychiatry and therapeutic modalities.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology relevant to psychiatric care.
- Experience with adults and children preferred
- Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatments
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices and interventions.
- Experience with therapeutic modalities and ability to integrate into regular care as needed
- Proficient with telehealth practices
- Ability to self-teach and learn EMR with minimal assistance (training videos are available)
- Collaborate with Medical Director/collaborative provider as needed
Compensation
- Compensation is based on CPT code billed
- Compensation is a set-rate per encounter, it is not a fee split
- Provider will be compensated after reimbursement is obtained from insurance company
- Rates set are based on experience of provider and modalities implemented with care
Scheduling
- This is a contract position so scheduling is left up to the provider
- A minimum of 16 hours per week is needed, however, other options may be considered based on need and experience of provider
- Weekends and evenings are not necessary
- Schedule openings will be needed at least two weeks in advance
- This is an independent contractor position, prior to applying, please familiarize yourself with this model.
