From electric co-op and municipal substations to industrial wind projects, we work with our industry partners to create a reliable supply of electrical power for their customers. Paradigm Enterprises, a Babcock Power company, is looking to hire a Director of Engineering.
The Director of Engineering is responsible for leading the design, specification, and review of technical documents required to permit and construct substations, transmission lines, distribution lines, and energy storage facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and ensure engineering department adherence to safety, quality, and ethical standards.
Participate in developing the strategic business development plan and the yearly business strategy.
Develop, support, and enhance Engineering Standards, ISO procedures, and technical understanding.
Provide technical advice, technical risk assessment, and problem resolution within the team.
Provide support to business development and pursuit activities.
Lead the day-to-day operational activities of the engineering department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Strong technical background in the power generation industry, including electrical power systems and equipment (high voltage)
- Strong knowledge of utility markets
- Exceptional organizational skills and communication skills
- Ability to write technical and commercial proposals
- Ability to interface with customers
- Ability to present at conferences, customer meetings, and internally to leadership team
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.

Our base pay ranges are set based on the function, discipline, level and regional location and are benchmarked against companies in the same or similar industry. Final offers may vary based on multiple factors, including education, depth and relevance of work experience, relevant licenses and certifications, and may vary from the amounts listed in the job posting. Base range: $165,000 - $185,000
