JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled AI / ML Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Houston, TX. This role involves supporting and enhancing applications for city-wide toll road imaging and invoicing systems, leveraging AI and ML capabilities to improve accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong Python skills, experience in AI / ML development, and a solid understanding of data engineering and cloud services.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop and enhance AI / ML applications, focusing on object detection, image classification, and contrastive learning models (e.g., CLiP).
- Perform data preprocessing, including training and inference optimizations and analyzing training metrics.
- Debug and optimize Python code, ensuring adherence to software engineering best practices, including unit testing and dependency management.
- Design and implement AI / ML pipelines, including train / validation / test data splits and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize database reads / writes and integrate data lakes effectively.
- Utilize cloud services to deploy and manage AI / ML applications.
- Provide regular project updates and documentation to stakeholders and team leads.
