Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Activity Director located in Yoakum, TX. The Activity Director will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing therapeutic recreation programs and events for residents. Key tasks include budgeting for activities, overseeing event planning, and coordinating recreational activities to ensure a stimulating and engaging environment. The role also involves regular communication with residents and staff to tailor activities to residents' needs and preferences.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Communication and Event Planning
- Experience in Recreation and Therapeutic Recreation
- Proficiency in Budgeting for activities and events
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Previous experience in a healthcare or residential care setting is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Management, or related field is preferred
