This position entails training in machine operation, maintenance and repair while serving as a support role performing various functions in our Diploma Cover Services department.
Description
A national manufacturing and software company located in the Virginia Beach area is seeking dependable individuals to assist in a fast paced and friendly team-oriented environment during the busiest production times. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational and time management skills are a must.
Duties
- Candidate must demonstrate a high aptitude for learning and strong problem-solving skills.
- Assist in the safe operation of one or more bindery machines.
- Assist in the set-up, breakdown, clean-up and/or maintain machinery as required.
- Validate stock accuracy and quality consistency within the production run.
- Effectively collaborate with coworkers of similar or differing levels of authority, within own and other departments.
- Assist in stock preparation and verification, and/or gathering and prepping department supplies and production materials.
- Assist with all other tasks as assigned, requested, or necessitated.
Requirements
- Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Reliable transportation for timely work attendance required.
- Physically able to stand for long periods of time.
- Physically able to push/pull/lift/carry supplies and various works in progress of at least 35-50 pounds
- Physically able to bend/kneel/walk/stand, in tandem with cart, stepstools or rolling ladders, to access supplies and various works in progress or other materials as needed in storage rooms or production areas.
- Fine motor skills, including, but not limited to, the full, complete use of and muscle control required to make precise hand movements, relative to tasks requiring hand-eye coordination, muscle coordination and dexterity.

Work Hours
- Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with mandatory weekday or weekend overtime as needed during a seasonal time frame (approximately 90 days with the possibility to extend).
