This position entails the individual to collaborate in the day-to-day functions of all Production and Manufacturing departments effectively diagnosing, repairing, and providing preventative maintenance services for equipment & machinery in an organizing and efficient manner to achieve the company safety, productivity, and quality standards.

Duties

  • Inspects and identifies equipment, machines, or facilities in need of repair.
  • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Plans repair work using building’s blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
  • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
  • Performs routine maintenance on machinery and building systems.
  • Performs basic fabrication of building and machinery components.
  • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
  • Submits requests for supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Picks up and / or delivers parts and supplies from / to local vendors.
  • Assist with all other tasks as assigned, requested, or necessitated.
  • Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • 2 years experience in mechanical or maintenance related position required.
  • Valid driver’s license required for transporting product.
  • Moderate understanding of basic electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems is required with a high competency in at least one area preferred.
  • Basic TIG / MIG welding skills are a plus.
  • Ability to do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, decimals, etc.)
  • Ability to read imperial and metric tape measures / rulers.
  • Physically able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Physically able to push / pull / lift / carry supplies and various works in progress of at least 35-50 pounds.
  • Physically able to bend / kneel / walk / stand, in tandem with cart, stepstools or rolling ladders, to access supplies and various works in progress or other materials as needed in storage rooms or production areas.
  • Fine motor skills, including, but not limited to, the full, complete use of and muscle control required to make precise hand movements, relative to tasks requiring hand-eye coordination, muscle coordination and dexterity.

  • Ability to maintain focus and concentration for long periods of time on computer- (seated) or machine-related (standing) tasks.
  • Ability to maintain routine and predictability in dynamic and open manufacturing warehouse environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, accomplish goals within set timeframes, and maintain required metrics as per job specifications.
  • Ability to work in concert with a team or independently, with or without direct supervision / guidance as needed.
  • Ability to self-manage and multi-task while making fact-based or historically valid and justifiable decisions.
  • Ability to assist, support, or work in close and harmonious relationships with all inter- and intra-departmental personnel as needed or requested.
  • Good vision, with or without corrective lenses, to sustain adequate visual focus over a period of time.
  • Ability to consistently comply with established procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area as per company and / or OSHA Standards.
  • Compensation and Benefits

  • Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm with mandatory weekday or weekend overtime as needed.
