Seasonal - Digital Printing and Inspection Associate

Seasonal employees (May, June & July) needed to assist in a fun, fast-paced and friendly team oriented indoor environment.

$15/hour

This position requires the individual to assist in the team efforts of a busy Document Engrossing & Inspection department. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to consistently check for and repair quality inconsistencies on documents while serving as a support role performing various functions in our Document Engrossing & Inspection department.

Description

A national manufacturing and technology company located in the Virginia Beach area is seeking dependable individuals to assist in a fast paced and friendly team-oriented environment during the busiest production times. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational and time management skills are a must.

Duties

• Print and collate job jackets
• Understand stock room organization, including, but not limited to: methods and reporting inventory.
• Stock collection from inventory.

Requirements

• Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Strong computer literacy
• Physically able to push/pull/lift/carry supplies and various works in progress of at least 35-50 pounds.
• Physically able to bend/kneel/walk/stand, in tandem with cart, stepstools or rolling ladders, to access supplies and various works in progress or other materials as needed in storage rooms or production areas.

General Expectations

• Fine motor skills, including, but not limited to, the full, complete use of and muscle control required to make precise hand movements, relative to tasks requiring hand-eye coordination, muscle coordination and dexterity.
• Ability or demonstrable proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel) as needed for completion of daily tasks, internal communication, and/or reporting.
• Ability to quickly learn and appropriately utilize internal applications and knowledge bases as needed for timely completion of daily tasks.
• Ability to communicate, both verbally or written, in a professional and grammatically correct manner where needed or when required with clients, service providers, and/or fellow employees.
• Ability to read, process and follow written directions and procedures.
• Ability to begin, continue, or find work without needing to be told or encouraged to do so.
• Ability to maintain focus and concentration for long periods of time on computer- (seated) or machine-related (standing) tasks.
• Ability to maintain routine and predictability in dynamic and open-office environment.
• Ability to prioritize, accomplish goals within set time-frames, and maintain required metrics as per job specifications.

Work Hours

• Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with mandatory weekday or weekend overtime as needed during a seasonal time frame (approximately 90 days with the possibility to extend).
