What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Technician PLS-CADD position at Paradigm Information Services, Inc.?
Paradigm is seeking a Senior Technician (PLSCADD) to support our client a leading fullservice geospatial solutions provider. We are looking for someone with expertise in transmission line engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and aptitude for applying remotely sensed data within PLSCADD software to model transmission lines.

As a Senior Techician you will :
- Model and update lines in the 69kV to 550kV range in PLSCADD to comply with the client s standards specifications preferences and relevant industry standards
- Apply remotely sensed data (LiDAR) to existing transmission line models in PLSCADD with neatness and a small margin of error
- Perform structural analysis and design of structures (pole lattice framed and guyed)
- Specify transmission line components

Our skills and experience wish list includes : At least 1-year related experience in transmission line engineering Technical Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER Proficiency with MicroStation is desirable Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in the production of transmission lime models in PLS-CADD Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail US Citizenship is required due to contract obligations
