ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Seniority Level/Target years of experience: 1 year of experience
MUST HAVE Skills:
- At least 1 year of experience in a technical support, IT monitoring, or system operations role.
- Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.) and IT infrastructure (servers, databases, cloud services such as Azure and AWS).
- Familiarity with cloud environments like Azure and AWS, including basic monitoring tasks such as resource utilization, virtual machines, storage, and services within these platforms.
- Experience with monitoring tools and systems used to track and report system health and performance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- A strong customer service orientation with a focus on resolving technical issues efficiently.
Desired Skills:
- Basic understanding of monitoring and observability principles and best practices.
- Experience with common monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Grafana, OpsRamp, BigPanda, Elastic, App Dynamicsetc.).
- Familiarity with cloud-based monitoring tools and services in Azure and AWS (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or similar certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to system alerts and notifications from various platforms, including cloud environments (Azure, AWS), network, applications, servers, and databases.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve basic technical issues related to system performance, connectivity, and cloud resources.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate technical team or senior analyst.
- Ensure accurate documentation of incidents, including steps taken, resolutions, and any follow-up actions required.
- Perform routine checks and reports on system health and performance, focusing on both on-premises and cloud-based systems.
- Provide first-level support for clients and end-users, troubleshooting issues through phone, email, or ticketing systems.
- Assist in maintaining the integrity and availability of critical systems by responding to alerts and performing preventive tasks, including those within cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve incident response times and overall operational efficiency.
- Maintain knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies in monitoring, especially in cloud environments like Azure and AWS, to ensure continual improvement.
