LCMS LAB TECH: BRUNSWICK, GA
Great opportunity for a LCMS Lab Tech located on the coast of Georgia in the city of Brunswick. Paradigm Labs is an established toxicology laboratory seeking a qualified individual to fill a Lab Tech position in the LCMS department.

Position is FULL-TIME days: Mon – Friday
Shift starts 10:00am
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform sample handling, prep, and extraction of patient/proficiency samples for quantitative drug analyses.
- Prepares reagents, standards, and controls as required by the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Ability to create batches and other tasks in the lab’s LIS (Laboratory Information System).
- Performs daily operation on instrumentation such as: Tecan Freedom EVO, Integra VIAFLO 96, and Agilent Liquid Chromatography (LC)/ tandem Mass Spectrometry (MS/MS) systems such as: 6420, 6460, and 6490.
- Identifies any instrument issues and able to initiate troubleshooting steps. When necessary, notify the Lab’s Instrument Specialist and/or contact technical support, if required.
- Follow the laboratory policies and procedures according to the SOPs to maintain sample integrity and produce high quality.
- Ensure all documentation is initialed allowing for full traceability and reconstruction of daily tasks performed.
- Participates in proficiency testing and competency testing.
- Maintains inventory of supplies/consumables for daily operation.
- General lab duties including: washing glassware, disposing samples, stocking supplies, etc.
- Keeps lab area safe, clean, and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Laboratory Manager or Laboratory Director.
Required Skills
- Ability to work amicably as a team member with a positive outlook and a “can-do” attitude.
- Ability to lift 15-20 lbs.
- Willingness to work occasional late shifts, or weekends, when necessary.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in a laboratory environment. Experience with LC/MS-MS would be an asset.
- Ability to accurately understand and follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail. Must be well-organized and demonstrate good record keeping abilities.
- Knowledge of a LIS (Laboratory Information System)
- Basic lab math calculation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and Google Sheets.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor's of Science degree in a natural science, Biology or Chemistry preferred, with at least 1-year prior laboratory experience
OR
- Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Bachelor's degree ,or equivalent, with at least 1-year prior laboratory experience. ASCP certification, or equivalent.
- Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Associate’s degree, with at least 2 years prior laboratory experience. ASCP certification, or equivalent.
