JOB DESCRIPTION

PRODUCTION WORKER- St. Gabriel, La

REPORTING:

The production worker reports to the plant supervisor. The work week consists of 40 hours (5 x 8 hour days), Monday through Friday.

The position requires the employee to perform a number of functions. These include: product manufacturing, forklift driving, inventory control, cleaning, maintenance of equipment and outside facility, safety, quality control, and communication with other employees.

• Report to work on time (5 minutes before start of shift). If late, time card will be docked in 15-minute increments.

• Report with a clean and well-maintained uniform.

• Cell phones must be kept in the car or locker. Use is restricted to lunch and breaks.

• Lunch break is 30 minutes. Morning and Afternoon breaks are 10 minutes. If you must leave the building for non-work-related reasons, punch out and in again upon your return.

• Every employee is responsible for maintaining the highest quality of products.

• Production assignment are made in morning meetings. When assignment is completed, notify plant supervisor or operations supervisor.

• Date each formula and note start time, when complete note end time. Check raw materials before you start any formula to ensure you have enough raw materials to finish the formula. Report to supervisor or Office Staff of any raw materials that are getting low. Check that the tanks, hoses, outlet piping, etc. have been completely cleaned and tank valve closedbefore you start making product to ensure tank is ready for production. If tank is not completely clean, use cleaning equipment provided.

• Every employee must check formula for the proper safety equipment. The proper safety equipment will be worn at all times. No exceptions will be permitted.

• Check and Double check that you are using the correct chemical and weight of raw material, # of bags, etc. Remember, once the raw material is added, it cannot be removed.

• Mix raw material in proper order as shown on formula. Raw materials should be introduced in the safest, most efficient manner. These may include pumping, dumping, or manually transferring product.

• Very Important To Remember: Each employee has first line quality check. If a product does not appear to be right for any reason (color, viscosity, odor, etc.), STOP and inform the management. This must be done IMMEDIATELY.

• When done mixing, take a sample to lab to have the proper testing performed to ensure the quality of the product. Inform lab personnel that sample is present.

• When product has been approved, filter product, if required, through correct size filter as shown on production sheet. Get a clean container (tote, pail, drum, etc.) and label container to be filled. One other plant employee is required to ensure that every container to be filled is labeled correctly and free from contamination.

• Check formula for proper container and fill weight.

• Check formula for correct labeling instructions. Make sure the product name, lot number, HMIS code, etc., is correct.

MUST BE DONE:

• Submit rechecked paperwork to supervisor once product is completed.

• Do final inspection before sealing container. Have a secondperson (plant supervisor or plant employee) check final product to ensure that all quality checks are made: correct drum and weight, labels, HMIS, any hazard labels, packing slips, MSDS, and mailing labels. Use defined inspection procedure once approved, initial Bill of Lading.

• *Rinse tank, hoses, and piping of any residue that may be remaining by following the tank cleaning procedure. Clean up after each job. Return raw materials to storage. Clean up buckets, spouts or anything else used to complete the job.

• Report final total weight of product and finish time on production sheet for the production record.

• Every employee is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean working environment inside and outside of Paradigm Labs.

• Clean up duties as assigned.

• Maintenance duties as assigned. Report wear and tear and damages on anything and everything (equipment, truck, motors, etc.'
