About Us:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Attendant / Driver to join our team. This role offers a variety of responsibilities that support the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and ensure timely, accurate deliveries to our customers.
Position Summary:
As a Warehouse Attendant / Driver, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory, organizing products, and ensuring the safe delivery of goods to designated locations. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations while also being the face of the company during deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse:
1. Maintain efficient operation of the warehouse by keeping track of items so they can be found quickly.
2. Prepare the warehouse and yard for upcoming delivery of material from suppliers and/or recently closed jobs.
3. Unload all deliveries and identify all items at receiving and inform Project Managers of their arrival.
4. Stage and prepare items for all upcoming jobs.
5. Gather and load units and any other material for deliveries to jobsites.
6. Perform jobsite deliveries, product pickup and scrap deliveries, as needed.
7. Prepare standard issue Job Box for each site, as requested.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to ensure safety.
9. Sort and store reusable material for second time use.
10. Perform daily safety and maintenance inspection of forklift.
11. Communicate with Warehouse Manager or HR/Office Manager when forklift propane is low. Get $ and fill propane. Keep the forklift ready to use at all times.
12. Ensure the dumpster is moved outside and ready for pick up.
Tool Inventory:
1. Check out tools for employees and job sites.
2. Maintain system for tool tracking and inventory, update as needed.
3. Responsible for tool repairs and purchases.
4. Purchase all new tools, check into inventory, and document (mark/number).
Facilities:
1. Ensure the property around the building is swept and clear of debris such as trash, nails, and screws in the parking lots.
2. Ensure the front of the building is clean, swept, and all plants are trimmed weekly.
3. Clean the inside of the building once a week (Tues-Thurs). Areas of inclusion: Bathrooms, Floors, and Empty all Trash Cans, etc.
Fleet Management:
1. Maintain inventory of all vehicle’s spare keys – locked for check-out only.
2. Maintain vehicle / driver spreadsheet and vehicle files.
3. Monitor and send out notices for vehicle maintenance needed.
4. Monitor fuel cards and GPS trackers.
5. Set-up & Conduct Monthly Vehicle Inspections. Follow-up on any items outstanding from inspections. Keep inspections on file.
6. Upon vehicle check-in, wash and clean out.
7. Maintain stake bed trucks and all vehicles that are not checked out to an employee.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain government and county base access / background check.
- Previous warehouse or delivery experience preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical labor.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift certification is a plus (training can be provided).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility with work hours and potential overtime.
