Operations Intern

We are seeking a motivated candidate to fill an Operations Intern position. You will learn the responsibilities of an Operations Manager under the supervision of one of our senior employees.

We are Paradigm Windows, founded in 1981, Paradigm has been providing premium quality, Energy Star® rated vinyl windows and doors for the new construction and remodeling industry, for both commercial and residential properties.  Located in Portland, Maine Paradigm Window Solutions has been building and distributing custom vinyl windows and sliding doors throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Mid-West regions of the United States for nearly four decades.

SCHEDULE: Part-Time, 20 hours a week Monday-Friday

PAY: $20.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn the responsibilities of an Operations Manager
• Help to support the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing facility
• Fulfill administrative duties and assist with projects as needed
• Incorporate academic knowledge into hands-on work

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not supervise any employees

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong level computer skills, including strong knowledge of Excel and Word
• Organizational and time management skills and a positive style personality
• Strong desire to learn more about the manufacturing industry
• Must demonstrate the ability to interact with peers, management, and other departments in a professional manner

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Recent Degree or current enrollment in a Business Program
• Strong level computer skills, including strong knowledge of Excel and Word
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

• This position will work closely with others in addition to working alone.
• Role will be based onsite a manufacturing facility
