Job Description: Floating Phlebotomist
Location: Greater Supply/Whiteville, NC Area
(Pembroke, Lumberton, Whiteville, Leland, Supply, Bolivia, Shallotte, Wilmington, etc. )
Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7:30am - 5:00am
Are you a skilled and adaptable Phlebotomist seeking a dynamic role in the healthcare field? We are looking for a Floating Phlebotomist to join our team in the Atlanta area. As a Floating Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in covering multiple medical offices throughout Atlanta, providing essential phlebotomy services and specimen processing.
Responsibilities:
1. Coverage: Travel to multiple medical offices within the Greater Supply, NC area to perform phlebotomy procedures and specimen collection.
2. Specimen Collection: Collect urine and oral fluid specimens from patients, ensuring proper identification and adherence to collection protocols.
3. Specimen Processing: Process collected specimens according to established procedures, including labeling, packaging, and preparing for shipment to the main lab for confirmation drug testing.
4. Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy and integrity of collected specimens and associated documentation.
5. Coordination: Communicate effectively with lab management and office staff at various locations to coordinate specimen collection and processing activities.
6. Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing specimen collection, handling, and transportation.
7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of specimen collection, processing, and shipment activities.
Requirements:
1. Certification: Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required.
2. Experience: Proven experience as a phlebotomist, with proficiency in venipuncture and specimen collection techniques.
3. Flexibility: Ability to adapt to varying schedules and locations, with a willingness to travel to multiple offices within the Coastal NC area.
4. Reliability: Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines.
5. Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and office staff.
6. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling and documentation.
7. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks, as well as lift and transport specimen containers as needed.
8. Driver's License/Transportation: Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and up to date insurance required.
