Service Manager
We are looking for a Service Manager to coordinate and supervise daily assignments and activities of our maintenance staff to ensure clean, orderly, safe, sound, and attractive conditions at our luxury apartment community in Washington, DC.
What the Service Manager will be doing:
Managing department, maintenance staff and contracted staff, as well as vendor/contractor relations.
Completing maintenance service requests to include electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and appliance repairs, as well as overall managing of department service requests.
Managing apartment turnover and property inspections and coordinating capital improvements and maintenance projects.
Working on-call maintenance service rotation; handling weather related and other property emergencies.
What the Service Manager will need to succeed:
Minimum 5 years apartment maintenance and 2 years staff supervisory experience; HVAC certification and experience.
Medium/heavy work requiring prolonged/repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting 100lbs max, with frequent lift/carry up to 50 lbs; climb vertical ladders and work at heights of varying degrees; able to work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus; good written communication, organizational and time management skills.
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance; access to property within 30 minutes for on-call maintenance service requests.
