PEOPLE PEOPLE
We are looking for “people people” with a strong work ethic. We hire for attitude (over experience) and train for skill.
That means we’re looking for a big smile, a warm personality, and an ability to make conversation easily.
Most of our customer reviews include statements like “the staff was super-nice!”, and we’ll want you to help us maintain that type of response from our guests. It’s a fun environment and our workers have a good time as well as our guests.
NO BOREDOM
Our workers never get bored. When we have a lot of guests, you might be refereeing laser tag or setting up for a birthday party or dipping ice cream. When we’re slower you might be cleaning bathrooms or planting crops or weeding gardens or painting signs.
A Few Things To Keep In Mind …
- The minimum age to work here is 15.
- You’ll be expected to work nights and weekends.
- We use checklists for a lot of our tasks, so you’ll know exactly what we expect you to do. We’re process-oriented.
- You’ll be on your feet a lot. Some days can be physically demanding. (Hello, weight loss program!)
- You have to be on time.
- You’ll do well if you’re proactive, take initiative, and see and suggest things that need to be done.
- Our concessions area has a perfect rating from the health department. You’ll be expected to help us maintain that.
PAY AND BENEFITS
The starting compensation rate is $8 to $10/hour (depending on age and experience), and you also get tips which average out over the course of a season to about $2/hour. So, you can think of it as $10 to $12/hour pay. For instance, some weeks, you might get 50 cents per hour worked in tips and other weeks you might get $3/hour worked in tips.
PLUS you’ll get a Season Pass (to use when you’re not working) as long as you’re employed with us. That includes unlimited mini-golf and half off other activities, produce, and concessions.
We EXPECT workers to try all of our ice cream flavors, so you can make recommendations to guests!
