Requirements
- Must be energetic and love working with young children.
- Experience in Early Childhood.
- Must be able to use a computer, and have data entry skills.
- Must be able to pass FDLE level 2 background screening.
- Must be able to obtain Physical /TB to commence employment
- Must have data entry skills
- Be able to use I-pad to take pictures and enter child observations
- Must have basic computer knowledge: lesson plans are digital.
- Have an understanding of working with an inclusive program-children with special needs.
- Have an understanding of developmentally appropriate development and how children grow and learn.
- DCF Staff credential
- DCF 45 Child Care Introductory Training Requirements
- DCF Required pre-hire courses ( if you do not have we can do a professional development plan to complete.)
- DCF Required School Readiness courses ( if you do not have we can do a professional development plan to complete.)
- Pediatric CPR/First Aid
- Higher Degree in Early Childhood Education or Related field with at least 18 credits in Early Childhood Education or with NDCA or equivalent
- Speak and read English and understand Spanish.
- Preferable experience in Head Start and/or Early Head Start.
- Preferable knowledge with COR observation and data entry
- Knowledgeable with Teachstone CLASS scoring system tool.
- Knowledgeable with Pyramid Model.
- Head Start Knowledgeable with HighScope Curriculum
- Educating children about fundamental concepts, such as colors, letters, numbers, and shapes.
- Encouraging social interactions between children and improving their self-esteem.
- Engaging in creative methods of learning, such as arts and crafts, supervised play, and storytelling.
- Planning a comprehensive curriculum to address early childhood development needs.
- Instilling a sense of order and discipline in the classroom.
- Monitoring free time on the playground.
- Ensuring the classroom is a clean, safe, and organized environment.
- Preparing for lessons by gathering materials and setting up workstations.
- Communicating with parents to better understand the children's home lives and psyches.
- Writing up reports for parents on each child's developmental progress.

- Vacation can only be taken during Vacation Dates: November (thanksgiving week), Christmas week, New years week, Spring Break, EHS has the end of program vacation week.
- During the vacation dates, you may request unpaid vacation and it will not count towards your attendance
- We provide Holiday Care and Summer Camp for those interested in working those days (based upon enrollment)
