Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various environments, ensuring that all spaces are hygienic and welcoming. This role is essential in providing a clean and safe atmosphere for both staff and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks in designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces, including desks, countertops, and equipment.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
- Replenish supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing cleaning or maintenance.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to understand instructions and report issues effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds.
- Previous experience in cleaning or custodial work is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
