Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional dental services while maintaining a safe and sterile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials in accordance with infection control protocols.
  • Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
  • Manage patient records, including medical coding and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and adherence to infection control standards.
  • Utilize dental terminology effectively for communication with patients and staff.
  • Support the front office with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
  • Familiarity with prosthodontics procedures is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing patient records and office tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while providing excellent patient care.
  • Understanding of medical coding and medical terminology is beneficial.
  • Must be committed to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
