Camden County and Northeast Philadelphia

Roles & Responsibilities :
Story Development :
Identify and report on breaking news, human interest stories, and other key events in the local area.Community Engagement :
Develop relationships with community leaders, local businesses, and residents to generate story ideas and insights.Field Reporting :
Attend and report on local events, government meetings, and other relevant activities.Content Creation :
Write and deliver high-quality, accurate articles on tight deadlines, ensuring clarity and a compelling narrative.Collaboration :
Work closely with editors and other reporters to shape content strategy and ensure consistent, reliable coverage across the region.Research :
Conduct thorough research for investigative pieces, adhering to ethical journalistic standards and fact-checking all sources.Requirements :
Experience :
2 years of experience in journalism, ideally covering local news or community stories.Skills :
Strong writing, interviewing, and research skills with the ability to craft compelling, well-structured stories.Communication :
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage a diverse range of sources and communities.Local Knowledge :
A deep understanding of the local issues and dynamics in Camden County and Northeast Philadelphia.Tools :
Proficiency in digital journalism tools, including content management systems, and basic photography skills.
