The Role
Let's put it out there. Working in an environment that cares for furry beings 365 days a year can be challenging and relentless (imagine having a hundred two-year-olds, but ours have teeth and claws). Our expectations are high, and we mean way up there! Our customers expect no less from us, and we expect no less from ourselves. Is this a mission impossible? No, we've been and done that for over 13 years. If you're up to the challenge, read on.
- Expect to be a dog boss, cat wrangler, fixer-upper, and a superhero to the team and pet parents.
- Speaking of teams, it's not a secret; they are our "secret" sauce. We have an eclectic management style, combining servant, democratic, and transformational leadership. But a team can't manage themselves. Expect to work side by side with the team, manage schedules, address staffing needs, program development, assist in interviewing, training, and team development.
- Other duties as assigned; this is just a job posting.

Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or GED, some college preferred.
- Must have at least 1 year of supervisory or management experience in animal care, retail, restaurant, hospitality operations, or similar; ability to read financial reports, manage payroll and inventory, motivate, and engage staff.
