What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess Primarily, also Food Runner/Busser position at Paradise Tiki of Dania Beach?
One of the fastest growing restaurants in Dania Beach. We are an 85 foot tiki hut located on a canal. With a Key West/Caribbean type of atmosphere, you will always find our restaurant as a unique place to be a part of. We have live music Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and as a result, we need a host/hostess to help slow down the pace of the restaurant.
This job is a weekend job (and potentially a Thursday night gig) only. You will be required to work Friday from 4pm-9pm, Saturday from 12pm-8pm, and Sunday from 12pm-6pm. There is no flexibility in this schedule, as these are the times we are the busiest and require assistance with the flow of the foot traffic. If you cannot work all weekends, do not waste your time applying, you will not be considered.
You will be asked to greet customers, find a section that is less busy to seat customers in, hand out menus, communicate with servers/bartenders for tables that have been sat, and also be aware of tables that are no longer occupied and need cleaning (communicate with bussers), and bring customers to those open tables, as well as put together waiting-lists for when there restaurant reaches capacity. You will also be asked to bus tables or bring food during slower times when we do not have as much foot traffic.
