Description
Paradise Valley Country Club is seeking Banquet Bartenders to play a key role in preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during banquet events. As a Banquet Bartender, you will ensure a high level of service quality and guest satisfaction. You'll be responsible for inspecting the bar, preparing drinks, greeting guests, and maintaining the bar area and equipment. This position requires knowledge of wines and spirits and the ability to follow established procedures for responsible alcohol service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available.
- Request additional supplies as necessary.
- Follow set-up procedures to prepare the bar for service.
- Prepare garnishes, mixes, and pre-mix drinks according to established recipes.
- Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Mix, prepare, and serve drinks according to approved recipes.
- Collect checks/payments for drinks served.
- Report guest complaints to a manager as soon as they occur.
- Maintain and clean the bar area and equipment to ensure a safe and organized workspace.
- Keep records of liquors, beers, wine, and sundries to maintain par stock.
- Perform daily inventory checks.
- Follow prescribed procedures for cleaning and lock-up at the end of the shift.
- Attend staff meetings as required.
- Maintain knowledge of wines and liquors in the club's inventory.
- Consistently comply with all state, local, and club laws/policies relating to the service of alcohol.
Requirements
- Good working knowledge of wine and spirits
- Prior bartending experience in an upscale atmosphere preferred
- Prior country club experience is a plus!
