Position Summary:
Paradise Valley Country Club is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Equipment Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall management of our golf course and grounds maintenance equipment. This role ensures that all machinery and tools are in top working condition to support the operations of our prestigious country club.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, repair, and oversee the preventive maintenance of all golf course and grounds maintenance equipment, including mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and small engine equipment.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive equipment maintenance schedule to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and other departments to ensure all equipment needs are met.
- Train staff on proper equipment operation, care, and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations related to equipment maintenance and fuel/oil storage.
- Monitor and manage the equipment maintenance budget, providing cost-effective solutions for repairs and replacements.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inventory.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a golf course, country club, or turf management setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of small engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel/gasoline engines.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of maintenance equipment efficiently.
- Experience with grinding and sharpening reel and rotary mower blades.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for equipment maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or formal training in small engine repair, mechanics, or a related field.
- Experience managing an equipment maintenance budget.
- Previous experience working in a private club or high-end golf facility.
