Paradise Valley Country Club is a prestigious private country club offering golf, tennis, fitness, swimming, and dining to its esteemed members and their guests. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our Racquet Program as a Racquet Sports Professional.
As a Racquet Sports Professional, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized service and an exceptional experience to our members and guests both on and off the court. Your responsibilities include executing well-planned events, teaching lessons and clinics, supporting junior sports programs, and contributing to the overall success of the tennis and pickleball program.
Key Responsibilities:
On Court:
- Assist in teaching lessons and clinics for men, women, and juniors.
- Contribute to tennis camp lessons during the summer and holiday seasons.
- Plan, supervise, and run tennis and pickleball events.
- Analyze play in practice, matches, and leagues to aid in the coaching process.
- Utilize video and other teaching aids to enhance instruction.
- Stay updated on teaching methods, styles, racquets, balls, and court trends.
Off Court:
- Restring and/or regrip racquets for members, guests, and new demo racquets.
- Coordinate activities related to league play (e.g., Women’s Interclub Tennis League, Arizona Tennis Association).
- Conduct event evaluations for continuous improvement.
- Promote events, clinics, leagues, and activities through member calls and emails.
- Maintain a visible presence among members to promote the tennis and pickleball program.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; two years of college desired.
- CPR and First-Aid Certification required.
- USPTA Certified Professional with a desire to obtain Elite Professional Status.
- PPR Professional or USPTA Pickleball Professional or willingness to earn within the first 6 months.
- 3-5 years of tennis teaching experience.
- 1 year of pickleball teaching experience or a willingness to learn.
- High-end resort/country club experience, preferred.
