Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Treating patients with dignity and respect
- Educating patients and their families about medical conditions and treatment options
- Providing emotional support and counseling as needed
- Conducting therapeutic groups and intervening during psychiatric crises
- Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records
- Assisting in diagnostic procedures and operating medical equipment
- Administering treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians
- Supporting patients through follow-up care and rehabilitation
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
- BLS certification upon hire and maintenance
- Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards
- Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming, and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
- Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care
- Behavioral Violence Prevention within 6 months of hire and annual maintenance
