Position Summary
The Area Sales Manager drives local and group sales initiatives for Paradox Museum New Jersey. As a core member of the marketing team, this position will manage all group sales, events and tourism at the local level, oversee the implementation of social media, and build relationships with community partners. They will be passionate about positioning Paradox’s brand in the NY/NJ market while continuously looking for creative approaches to drive awareness in both the local and tourism channels
Responsibilities
- Drives ongoing business through group sales including schools, community centers corporations and tourists
- Key liaison with America Dream Mall groups sales, marketing , events and tourism teams
- Gathers and analyzes information to identify appropriate target audiences
- Conducts pricing research and analysis to ensure competitive product and service pricing
- Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the market
- Maintains and acquires data base via Mail Chimp to continuously communicate with target audiences
- Maintains knowledge of existing and new in market competition
- Develops programs to maximize awareness and attendance in a high volume, for profit experiential environment.
- Reports to the Paradox New Jersey GM and works with operations team
- Promotes company through creative guerilla marketing favorable to current marketing environment.
- Oversees Paradox’s membership and participation in regional civic bureaus, trade and tourism associations, and other organizational affiliations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive group sales marketing responsibility in ticketed experiences in entertainment, sports or immersive attractions.
- Financial acumen in budget vs. actual and ticket pricing/ATP strategy
- Local contacts and relationships
- Best practices in driving group sales in schools, corporations and tourism channels
- Proven ability to set KPIs and meet ROI goals through marketing.
- Business development skills in the creation of new concepts and related partners.
- Ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to changes in consumer behavior.
- Goal oriented and entrepreneurial mindset, coupled with a willingness to learn.
- Able to work independently with a strong sense of ownership accompaniers by outstanding project management and organizational skills.
- Creative vision, initiative, and adaptability as this role continues to evolve.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
