Associate Product Sustaining Engineer

Paragon 28’s growth continues and we’re looking for more great employees!  Now is your chance to join this public company dedicated to improving a patient’s quality of life with the treatment of the most challenging foot and ankle conditions!  We are currently looking to fill the position of Associate Product Sustaining Engineer with a starting range of $67,000 - $77,500/year, dependent upon experience, education, and skills.  This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of work from home/office.

The Associate Product Sustaining Engineer works with direction from senior Engineering staff on projects that focus on legacy product systems and design and development of medical devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in sustaining engineering activities for legacy product systems for commercialized product with guidance from senior engineering staff including:
  • Review and evaluate product non-conformances for incoming legacy product
  • Review and evaluate product complaints
  • Update designs and device specifications for legacy products
  • Participate in conceptualizing new design ideas for legacy product systems and new development projects
  • Learn how to use SolidWorks for parametric modeling and detailing designs of P28 implants and instruments
  • Assist with creating or updating design control documentation for P28 design history files & technical files
  • Assist in development of testing protocols and assist in the testing process for new and existing products
  • Participate in activities related to project phase gate design reviews
  • Assist with 3^rd party suppliers, contractors, testing houses, etc.
• Assist in inspection of current and newly developed medical devices
• Observe surgery (live, cadaver, or video) on lower extremity pathology. Document all notes.
• Other duties as directed by manager

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related engineering discipline with 0-3 years of experience.
• Prior experience in medical device development helpful.
• Familiarity with CAD. SolidWorks preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Effective communication and presentation skills with ability to convey information and respond to questions from groups of peers
• Ability to work in a team environment
