Paragon Care, Inc is seeking suitable candidates for our direct care staff position at our group homes in Brandon, Plant City, Tampa and Seffner.
Job Duties Include:
- Cleaning and sanitizing home
- Preparing meals
- Reporting changes in consumers on communication logs, body check sheets and incident reports
- Coordinate activities both indoors and around the community
- Sit, stand, walk, bend, lift and move intermittently during working hours
- Regular contact with service recipients, staff, family members and the general public
- May be subject to physically aggressive and/or emotionally upset individuals
Required training:
- Zero Tolerance
- Direct Care Core Competencies
- CPR/First Aid
- HIV/AIDS
- HIPAA
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of level 2 background
- Strong decision making, problem solving, and judgment skills
- Ability to remain objective in various situations
- Effective communication skills (written and oral)
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Willingness to take initiative and adapt to circumstances
- At least 1 year experience working in field of residential group homes, health care
