Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and responsible driver to safely transport individuals with developmental disabilities to and from ADT, appointments, community outings, and other approved activities. Duties
- Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company or agency vehicle to transport APD clients
- Ensure clients’ safety and comfort during transport
- Assist clients in entering and exiting the vehicle when needed
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude at all times
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and agency protocols
- Keep vehicle clean and report any maintenance issues
- Complete transportation logs and necessary documentation

Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, particularly with special needs clients
- Knowledge of paratransit regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to operate various vehicles, including buses and commercial vehicles
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record
- No criminal history (must pass Level 2 background screening)
- Drug-free (pre-employment and random drug testing required)
- Must be reliable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Prior experience in transportation or caregiving is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.99 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
