Contract Role - 6months, ongoing.
Location - Onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA
Essential Job Responsibilities & Knowledge:
- Perform product support activities involving installation, upgrading, repair, and preventative maintenance of PC components, printers and scanners.
- Diagnose and use the appropriate tools to troubleshoot basic PC components, printers and scanners.
- Requires general understanding of infrastructure design, development and deployment.
- Computer Hardware experience (Assembly/Disassembly, Component Installation, Service/Repair, and Testing)
- General knowledge of the following infrastructure systems: Microsoft BackOffice (SCCM, Exchange, etc), TCP/IP, DNS
- General knowledge of the concepts associated with the above systems (Windows 7 Domains and network protocols)
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies desirable (routers, switches, hubs, etc) General knowledge of the following network hardware: desktops, laptops, printers, servers, networking systems and communications systems
- General knowledge of LAN computing technologies and architectures
- General written, presentation and verbal communication skills
- General knowledge of the Internet and its uses and tools (Internet Explorer 8.0 preferred)
- Demonstrated technical aptitude, initiative and creative skills
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication with multiple levels of employees, managers and customers, including verbal, written and active listening
- Demonstrated customer service skills
Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Comp TIA A certification and or Server preferred or relevant experience
- MCP certification desirable.
Job Related Experience:
- Three to five years’ experience troubleshooting and supporting technology hardware products, including PC hardware/software, laptops, and printers.
- Three to five years’ application troubleshooting experience in Microsoft products and tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot PC hardware/software and printer problems.
- Ability to perform duties with a client-centric attitude. Clients come to us by choice; we have a personal responsibility to maintain our client’s loyalty and trust.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to provide detailed and complete documentation related to performance of duties.

- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. from the floor to chest level several times per day
