Job Description:
The Windows 11 Migration Technician role at Converge involves supporting the migration of company devices to Windows 11, primarily focusing on imaging and configuring laptops and end user support.
The technician will provide technical support to ensure timely resolution of issues while adhering to company policies and procedures. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, responding to technical support requests and performing installations and upgrades of IT equipment.
Qualifications
- Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered
- Minimum of six months of experience in an IT role
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11
- Strong knowledge of personal computer hardware, including laptops, desktops, monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, fax machines, and iDevices
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP and LAN switches
- Experience/ability to support executive level staff members with a high level of customer service
Responsibilities

- The technician will provide technical support to IT customers, ensuring timely resolution of issues while adhering to company policies and procedures
- This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, responding to technical support requests and performing installations and upgrades of IT equipment
- Commute to Milwaukee, WI, Wausau, WI, New Berlin, WI and East Windsor, New Jersey
- Image and configure laptops for Windows 11 migration
- Follow a written script to complete the Windows 11 migration on company devices
- Provide excellent service while fulfilling IT customer requests or resolving IT customer problems
- Respond to requests for technical support in a timely, professional manner and facilitate immediate resolution when possible
- Perform installations, upgrades, and decommission of IT equipment used by the workforce, including laptops, desktops.
- Familiarize with and follow team policies, processes, and procedures
- Provide technical support and assist IT customers in the use of hardware and software
- Resolve routine hardware and software problems using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot equipment, network, or application errors; engage other departments for more complex problems
- Image and configure workstations in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Provide technical support to board members and corporate officials for provided hardware devices and software as needed
- Provide infrequent hands-on support to other departments during implementations and problem resolution
- Provide timely and accurate updates to incident, request, and problem management system
