We currently have two to three openings for 1st Shift (7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) Quality Assurance Inspection Technicians, and are seeking qualified and experienced individuals, enthusiastic to join our talented team. The positions are based out of Calabasas, California, manufacturing facility is located.
Compensation / Pay Range: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
(Candidates must match all criteria and have inspection on products with tight tolerances to be considered for the high end of the compensation pay range.)
Overview / Summary:
Inspection processes on computerized inspection equipment (Keyence LM & Vision System SeeBrez) to verify dimension, tolerance, functionality, configuration, aesthetics, surface finish, plating, and material per inspection methods outlined on First Article, On-line, and Final inspection guidelines. Evaluate current inspection methods and trends to identify process improvements. Responsibilities includes inspection of, in process, outsourced, purchased, and modified products following cGMP compliance for Class II medical devices.
Job Essentials & Qualifications:
- Perform simple to complex mechanical / dimensional inspections for first article, in-process, and final inspections per blueprints and/or other written specifications using designated inspection equipment such as optical computerized numerically controlled measuring systems.
- Perform semi-complex visual inspection for critical features, based on blueprint/drawing specifications, following both the anodizing and (again) blasting stages. (See Physical Requirements section in relation to vision.)
- Perform semi-complex visual inspections on labels, based on blueprint/drawing specifications, in a Clean Room environment.
- Inspect product within the estimated time requirements.
- Document part numbers, lot numbers, quantities, inspection dates, results, in log entry format to ensure accurate product history records for each product inspection task performed.
- Report all non-conforming product(s) to the Quality management.
- Obtain appropriate inspection gages, fixtures, attachments, accessories, and materials necessary to perform inspections.
- Inform machine operators of any out of tolerance conditions or acceptability of product based on specification.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent. Some college or technical training preferred.
- Required:
- A minimum of eight (8) years quality assurance mechanical inspection experience required, or a combination of education and/or experience.
- Good Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Experience with ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Tolerance and ANSI Z 1.4 Sampling Plan.
- Experience with Vision systems (Keyence IM series preferred or LM Series) inspections.
- Understanding of thread specifications and classifications.
- Basic experience working with a statistical process control program.
- Interpret and comprehend Engineering blueprints / drawings.
- Preferred:
- Advanced understanding of calibration programs.
- Complex First article inspection experience is a plus.
