About the Role:
Paragon IT Professionals seeks a Service Engineer to support our client's international fleet of automation systems, hardware, software, and documentation for Research Seed Production (RSP) Seed Processing Systems, Seed Filling Systems, and Seed Handling Systems.
This system is designed, developed, and manufactured by AFT Seed Engineering team in Johnston, IA.
Must be bilingual in English and Portuguese.
Contract role with minimum 3 days on-site work per week.
Responsibilities:
- Intake and processing of service requests through JIRA Service Desk
- Solving hardware, software, server, and database issues
- Support document creation and maintenance using Confluence
- Direct user training and support
Requirements:
- Bilingual: English and Portuguese (business level proficiency)
- Customer service experience in person or remote
- Knowledge and understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Ability to create SQL queries
- Understanding of database table relationships
- Knowledge of stored procedures
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks under aggressive timeframes
- Self-starter attitude with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, verbal, listening, and comprehension
- Understanding of low voltage electronics (48V or less)
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in technology field (engineering, electronics, software development)
- At least 3 years of support experience
