Paragon Laboratories, Inc. is looking for dedicated and motivated Chemists to join our team.
OUR COMPANY
For over 25 years, Paragon has been a local provider of chemical, physical, and biological laboratory testing services to customers across three primary markets: Environmental; Petroleum; and Chemical.
THE JOB
As a Chemist I on our team, you will spend your days performing chemical or physical testing on water, soils/solids, waste, or petroleum to ensure our customers' samples meet required specifications for use, disposal, and environmental compliance.
In joining our company, you will be providing a critical service in support of our 600 customers in the metro and tri-state areas, while being given the opportunity to learn and grow through extensive role-specific training.
Our team of Chemists work Monday through Friday; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
OUR TEAM OF CHEMISTS
- Perform testing according to Standard Methods, EPA, ASTM, proprietary client protocols, and internal standard operating procedures
- Perform a variety of tests on drinking water, water, waste water, soils/sludges, solid or liquid waste, gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, or liquified petroleum gases
- Use and maintain laboratory equipment such as balances, filtration manifolds, spectrometers, distillation apparatus, elemental analyzers, discreet analyzers, ICs and other laboratory equipment; assignments are based upon previous work experience, years in industry, and other factors
- Monitor procedure performance and maintain documentation for QA/QC purposes

MUST HAVE
- Normal Color Vision (i.e. must not be color blind)
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Stand for up to 6 hours a day
- Able to wear PPE as required by internal protocols
- BS or BA in the sciences
